Foreclosure Prevention

“If you find yourself in foreclosure it can be so hard. But never give up. You have to keep pushing forward.”

– SCH Client Muñoz

The Foreclosure Process:

The foreclosure process can be overwhelming and intimidating. Many clients come to Spanish Coalition for Housing because they are experiencing other stressful life events, including: loss of income, medical issues, divorce or loss of a family member. No one should have to go through the foreclosure process alone. Our trained bilingual counselors are here to help, free of charge.

If you are behind on your mortgage payments, you are not alone. In the past three years over 250,000 homes in the Chicagoland area went into foreclosure. This can be very emotional because a home represents your security, legacy and investment.

Losing a home can be devastating and we can help you try to save yours. During the past year we served an astonishing 2375 homeowners and saved 91% of those clients from foreclosure! Hear from some of our clients.

It is important to move quickly. Please contact our offices to schedule an appointment. Contact SCH

Our services are free of charge:

Our foreclosure prevention services are offered free of charge. Unfortunately, many clients come to us who have been victims of scam mortgage modification companies/agencies that take their payments but do not assist them to resolve their foreclosure. If this has happened to you or someone you know, please download this form to file a complaint with the Attorney General’s office. Beware of scams!
